“The Boar's Head charms with its history as a former coaching inn, offering a cozy base for exploring Ripley and the Yorkshire Dales. I appreciate their commitment to local produce, particularly evident in the restaurant's seasonal menus. It strikes me as a solid choice for couples and families seeking a relaxed, dog-friendly getaway.”

The Boar's Head offers an attractive historic building in the delightful village of Ripley, virtually next door to Ripley Castle, with free access to the castle surroundings. Guests commonly appreciate the comfortable rooms, some featuring super king beds and amenities like Harrogate water, Border biscuits, fresh coffee, and Yorkshire tea. Many enjoyed the Fry-day special with enormous and delicious fish and chips. Some guests have noted issues when dining in the pub, but overall, the hotel is considered a great base for visiting Ripon and Harrogate, with a bus stop to Harrogate right outside.

a romantic getaway fulfilled
courtyard suite sitting room water pressure
Donna was wonderful. She upgraded me to the gardner's cottage suite because i was staying several nights. it featured a cozy sitting room and a lovely bedroom. the large bathtub and separate shower offered excellent water pressure and temperature (what a delight after a long day of travelling!).
i had booked a room in a building separate from the main inn, but it lacked wifi connectivity. i was moved to a smaller room inside the inn.
